Homebrew Theatre Company strives to provide an inclusive, accessible environment for artists and audiences through:

Kristen Swanson
Founder & Artistic Director
Kristen Swanson started acting professionally in 2018 during her sophomore year at Loyola University New Orleans, where she earned a Bachelor of Theatre Arts. She has worked with Warner Bros Entertainment, Jefferson Performing Arts Society, and See 'Em On Stage Productions in multiple Big Easy award-winning shows.
Her most recent credits are with Homebrew Theatre Company's production of the Hunting of the Snark, which she acted in, stage managed, and produced. She has also entertained audiences as Eliza Doolittle (Pygmalion), Rosie (Cabaret), Noah Gellman (Caroline, or Change), and Belle (Beauty and the Beast).
At Loyola, she studied acting, voice, dance, directing, stage management, design, and playwriting. As an actor, her training encompasses an array of styles and methods, including classical, Stanislavski, Suzuki, and film acting.
Kristen founded Homebrew Theatre Company in the fall of 2021 to develop a dynamic and empowered artistic community in Southeast Louisiana. When not on stage, she enjoys spending time at church, art journaling, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.
